THE ORGANISATION

The Central Land Council (CLC) is a representative body promoting Aboriginal rights and provides a number of services for the benefit of traditional owners and other Aboriginal residents of the CLC region.

It carries out its statutory functions across the southern half of the NT. Its members belong to more than 15 language groups. Located in the amazing landscapes of Central Australia, CLC's main office is located in Alice Springs plus several regional CLC offices.

THE ROLE

INORMATION SERVICES OFFICER (RECORDS AND REGISTRY) - IS004 - ALICE SPRINGS

CL 4 $69,500.00 progressing to CL 5 $82,202.00

CLC values its records and its people, both need care and development. This is a career role in records and business administration with a focus on (digital) records management and technology supporting information storage and preservation

CLC's Information Services will allow you to develop skills and work experiences in registry and records administration, taxonomies, digitisation & preservation. Archives and Library are also part of the portfolio and allow you be an all-rounder Information Professional. M365 knowledge or experience make you an ideal candidate for upcoming projects.

The position would suit someone with initiative, who is innovative, has a flexible and 'can do'- approach, and who can contribute to a changing environment. It is ideal for a professional or for someone who is keen on developing contemporary Records and Information Management skills.

The position is located in CLC's main office in Alice Springs, surrounded by the amazing landscapes of Central Australia.

 

BENEFITS

  • Attractive base salary plus 15.4% superannuation
  • Generous salary packaging (maximum $29,000 annually, depending on individual circumstances);
  • Ongoing district allowance (circa $3,490 for an individual or $6,400 with dependents);
  • Yearly airfare allowance (circa $1,300;)
  • Relocation assistance, should you be moving to the region; and
  • Subsidised, fully furnished accommodation for the first four months.

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
