OUR STORY 

The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people in the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres. 

 

The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

THE ROLE

EMPLOYMENT FACILITATOR - MINERALS AND ENERGY - EP004 - ALICE SPRINGS

CL 6 $87,077 progressing to $100,027

The Employment Facilitator will lead CLC's work to improve employment outcomes arising out of minerals and energy projects in the CLC region. The focus of the role will be to:

 

  • Provide advice to resource companies and other stakeholders about best practice approaches to supporting Aboriginal training and employment outcomes in the region
  • Support resource companies and other stakeholders to engage effectively with CLC constituents regarding training and employment opportunities arising from projects
  • Develop and implement processes and resources for monitoring Aboriginal training and employment outcomes from projects
  • Advocate for best practice approaches to Aboriginal training and employment in mineral and energy sector (in collaboration with CLC Policy team)

 

BENEFITS

  • Attractive base salary plus 15.4% superannuation
  • Generous salary packaging (maximum $29,000 annually, depending on individual circumstances);
  • Ongoing district allowance (circa $3,490 for an individual or $6,400 with dependents);

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
