OUR STORY

The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people in the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres. 

The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

THE ROLE

PM006 - Microsoft 365 Data Management & Enterprise Collaboration (SME) Consultant

Fixed Term - 6 Month Contract

The role will lead the assessment of the organisation's current information management environment, including the legacy EDIS (TRIM) system, and oversee the evaluation of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint as the future platform. A key responsibility is to conduct a detailed options analysis and provide a well-supported recommendation on the most appropriate document and information management solution for the organisation.

Once the preferred approach is endorsed, the role will be responsible for designing the organisation's information architecture and data model. This will include consideration of how Microsoft 365 tools—such as SharePoint, Teams, and Planner—can be structured and integrated to support effective collaboration, workflow management, and information governance.

The position will also lead the implementation of the agreed solution, ensuring that system configuration, workflows, and governance settings align with organisational requirements and industry best practice. This includes specialised work in the customisation of Microsoft Teams and the development of policy and governance frameworks that underpin consistent and compliant use of the platform.

An important component of the role involves developing and executing user adoption strategies, including training and change management activities that support staff to transition to new systems and ways of working. Finally, the role is responsible for ensuring sustainable internal capability by providing structured knowledge transfer, documentation, and coaching to enable the organisation to confidently manage and maintain the implemented solution over the long term.

 

KEY SUCCESS METRICS

  • Delivery of comprehensive EDIS/TRIM assessment and lean options analysis
  • Completion of enterprise data model and information architecture aligned to organisational needs
  • Successful design and implementation of SharePoint solution supporting 100% of organisational departments.
  • Complete migration of identified content from EDIS/TRIM to SharePoint with Data Integrity Validation (if solution determines).
  • Implementation of Teams governance and customisation aligned to organisational requirements.
  • Demonstrated improvement in User Satisfaction and Adoption Metrics Post-Launch.
  • Zero Critical Data Loss or Access Disruptions during migration process.
  • Internal team achieving demonstrated competency in Data Model Maintenance and Governance Administration.
  • Positive stakeholder feedback on collaboration and knowledge delivery.

 

BENEFITS

  • Competitive salary and benefits package, 15.4% superannuation, five weeks annual leave and Christmas shut down period.

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
